MainThreadScheduler Core at always 100%

Featured Replies

Help appreciated,

From several month now, I find the processor 0 is always at 100%, despite "modest" parameters values considering my medium high configuration...

As I am making a clean install of Prepar3d V5.3, I decided to go step by step and check what's going on.

To my surprise, (after moving MainThreadScheduler to 2 to verify), I see the MainThread at 100% already from the scenario screen !
Nothing else installed !

Does anybody see this strange behavior ? Shall I envisage a full Windows (10) reinstall ?

I don't see this phenomena with other applications 😞

Any suggestion of what could be the root cause of this behevior is very welcome.

Thanks

Gérard

See the first post of Beau Hollis in this thread at the Prepar3d Forums.  He offers:

For each bit flipped in the P3DCoreAffinityMask P3D will create a job scheduler which works within/a thread tied to that logical core by thread affinity. Using these values, you can assign P3D's special purpose work loads to different logical cores. Moving the main thread scheduler will also set the main thread affinity which will affectively move P3D's main application loop and simulation work
to this logical core.
This core will likely be utilized at or near 100 %.  (bolding mine)

I understand the information given by Beau Hollis, but at the scenario screen there should be few activity...

Any one could make the same test (just with the Task Manager.

Thanks
