Pending further action from Asobo, here is the current solution for the "pink interiors". From ryanbatcund:

You need to add an extra texture fallback to the Texture.cfg. Here you go:

fallback.8=..\..\..\..\texture\Planes_Generic 

(change the .8 to the next in your sequence)

Thanks Mike, very simple and helpful.

I've tried it and it's a partial success. Still some aircraft have pink tendencies. I guess it's what they identify themselves as. 😏
