I just re-watched a movie I haven't seen in years. Urban Cowboy. It's special to me because it was filmed in a place I've come to truly love...Gilley's in Pasadena, Texas. I was only there once. In 1983. What a hoot! Saturday night. Mickey on the stage. 5,000 people on the dance floor(s) and at the bars. More bars than I ever dreamed of. And more girls too. I learned the two-step that night with a striking brunette named Sandi Lee. And even though, just as the sun was rising, I returned to my hotel room in Houston alone, I'll never forget Gilley's. And Sandi Lee. And one of the best Saturday nights of my life. Gilley's is gone now but I have tickets to see Mickey again next month at the Orange Blossom Opry in Wiersdale, Florida. Memories are a wonderful thing for those of us folks over 80. I wonder what ever happened to Sandi Lee........

P.S. Don't the girls all get prettier at closing time?

Thanks Charlie. I did Facebook a long time  ago. Before I came to realize that it, and Mark Zuckerberg, are a scourge on society. Thinking about it, I probably don't really want to know what happened to Sandi Lee. Over my lifetime there have only been nine people who are special to me. My wife and eight others. Of those eight, seven are gone now and I haven't seen the last one, who was my best friend from the time I was two, in over 50 years. I don't want to even think about the possible loss of someone else like Sandi Lee.....Doug
