P3Dv5 installation question

Featured Replies

Hello Guys! I have a question because I bought orbx the other day but I don't know where to install it. I tried to just put it in the P3d folder but p3d has changed 0 can anyone help me?

(sorry for my bad english i hope you can understand me)

ORBX gives you the option to install its products in an external library. This external library could be located in a folder that is outside the P3D folder. I recommend you install your ORBX products that way. Hopefully this answers your question.

My Files in the AVSIM Library

I am assuming that you have the latest version of Orbx Central installed on your flightsim computer. As David noted, all you need to do is choose what install location you desire--P3D or Library. Orbx Central will do the installation for you. I also recommend that you install your Orbx scenery addons into the external "Library". When I updated from P3D 5.1 to version 5.3, I did a complete uninstall of all my Orbx scenery addons from P3D 5.1. After installing 5.3, then I reinstalled my Orbx scenery addons using the "Library" install tab. Now when I need to do a future major update on P3D all my addon sceneries will be in an external library making the major update much easier.

Hope this helps,

Raymie3
