PA23 AZTEC F 250 Released!
For all of us having a problem feathering a prop on this aircraft--here is what the support guy at Alabeo stated: "You must pull down the prop lever and then press CTRL + F2". Apparently the command stated gets the prop lever into the detent necessary to activate the feathering process. I am using FSX. I have not had time to try this yet, will do so later.

PA23 AZTEC F 250 Released!
As it was pointed out in a previous post, I also simulated an "engine out" (right engine mixture lever in full cutoff position) and with right prop lever in full feathered position, the prop continued to windmill. Unless I missed something, this is not good!! Has anyone else tried this with the same result?? If this is a bug, I sure don't know how the beta testers missed this one. I am using FSX Thanks

PA23 AZTEC F 250 Released!
I was wondering this as well. According to the performance tables included by Alabeo this is a PA-23-250 Aztec F with a Lycoming TIO 540-C1A. It is set up to be a turbo-charged model. I Googled this particular aircraft and all the pictures I saw of it, this particular aircraft only had two bladed props. Not sure why the cfg. file indicates three blade props. So far each flight I have flown with this aircraft, I only have two bladed props--maybe I need to take it back to the mechanic and tell him I've been robbed!

PA23 AZTEC F 250 Released!
Purchased and installed this aircraft today for FSX. I have no real world experience in the Aztec however I have always been very fond of this twin engined Piper aircraft. It is a very stable aircraft and is easy to hand fly. I enjoy "old school" cockpits yet the GTN 750 integration went well. The textures are great inside and out and there seems to be enough documentation included to get one up and running with this airplane. Night lighting for the cockpit is not bad at least in my opinion. I wish both Carenado and their cousin Alabeo would use dimmer switches for their interior lighting. One area that could be a weakness is the interior sounds for the aircraft engines. One other item that I found somewhat troublesome is the location of the ADF control head--it is at the bottom of the radio stack and some what hard to tune if prop and mixture levers are full forward. Other than that so far so good. I do hope that Raymar will do a review on this aircraft as I understand he does have real world flight experience in it.

Carenado EMB 505 300 HD or Flysimware Learjet 35A
Hi, I have both biz jets that you are currently considering. However, I use FSX so I cannot tell you what they may be like in P3D V3 Regarding Carenado's EMB 505 300 HD--over all I enjoy it and as you know the interior and exterior textures are superb. I enjoy the flight dynamics even though I have no real world experience in this type of aircraft. The primary reason I purchased it was due to Bert's Flight1 GTN 750 mod--if you have that add on and decide to purchase the 300 that's an option for you. I have stayed away from the Prodigy 1000, the Carenado FMS and their Navigraph add on due to too many negative comments about that along with some auto pilot bugs. For me it is a lot easier using the GTN750 and that's just my own personal preference. If you have not already, I would highly suggest you read Raymar's review on this aircraft. It is very informative and may help in your decision making & you may want to check out some of the other posts on the 300 as well. That is one thing I do when considering an aircraft. Also, I have an older computer (i7 950 with a Nvida GTX 650 video card); I use Orbx scenery--the 300 is a little difficult at times FPS especially in the Seattle area and with some of their other add on airports. That may not be an issue for you in P3D V3. Regarding the Flysimware's Lear 35A--The exterior textures are very good in my opinion while they are improving the quality of their interior textures. Don't let the interior textures scare you away from possible purchase. The vendor has done a lot of improvements on their Lear and over all I enjoy this aircraft and its flight dynamics; it is more old school obviously than the EMB 500. It is not as hard on frame rates even in the Orbx Seattle area--you have a choice of the older GPS or the Flight1 GTN750. I purchased this aircraft during the Christmas holiday sales--not sure if I would pay the full price but it is an overall good biz jet to have. I would check out Flysimware's unofficial support site here further down the page from Carenado's and read some of the posts for the Lear 35A. Hope this help, Raymie I did a typo on my Nvida video card--it is a GTX 560.

A fantastic package with a not so fantastic content
The GTN mod for this aircraft is really great as that is what I use.. Just PM Bert and he will help you with it--that is if you already have the Flight1 GTN750

Lear 35A V. 2.1 Problem
The audible sound that I am hearing as noted in my previous post is the warning sound when the flaps are down to a selected position without the gear down. Is it normal for me to hear this when aircraft is first selected in the aircraft menu? Raymie

Lear 35A V. 2.1 Problem
After installing this latest version of the Lear 35A into FSX I have this somewhat annoying problem. 1. I first select the Lear 35A at the aircraft selection menu. Right after the selected Lear 35 aircraft shows up in the aircraft menu (selected aircraft slowly turning around)--I immediately hear what sounds like possibly a gear warning horn sound or a warning bell sound. This audible sound continues to blare until I am sitting in to the cockpit at the selected airport of departure. Once that happens I no longer hear the blaring sound. --My question is, is this suppose to be normal with version 2.1? Or did something not get installed properly? I did remove the the aircraft folder of the previous version of the Lear 35A from the Airplane folder in FSX. Should I have done a complete uninstall of the Lear before installing version 2.1 if this is the cause of the audible sound mentioned above? Any helpful ideas or comments on this audible sound before the aircraft loads and I am sitting in the cockpit, would be greatly appreciated. The only way I can shut this sound off is to mute it prior to aircraft loading and sitting on the ramp. 2. I did a night flight in this latest version and I noticed on the Altitude Selector--the last two barrel numbers on the "right side of decimal point" are not illuminated when night lighting in the cockpit is on. Not sure if this is normal or not. Thanks, Raymie

C90 and GTN750 track
Once airborne, I track the GTN flight plan by using the "Nav" mode on the autopilot. Hope this helps Raymie

Carenado new KingAir
Yes, Hangar24 is correct as I purchased the prior version of their King Air through Carenado's website. Just purchased the King Air GTX via their website--looked for the discount "button" but it was not there. The discount is automatically deducted during the purchase process.

MU-2 Status?
I am also looking forward to the MU-2 that Milviz will offer hopefully in 2016. Until them, I also have the Flysimware MU-2. Purchased it earlier this year on sale--was hesitant to do so because of the original interior textures. The alternate textures offered does help a lot. I also am very well pleased with this aircraft and wholeheartedly agree with Martin's assessment of its modeling. I fly it a lot and enjoy it greatly. Also there is pretty good support for it by the vendor who has corrected the "bugs" and done some good updates. Raymie

F1 GTN Avionics Package for BE55 and C310 ?
I totally agree with Bert's comment--if you can swing it, get the 750 first. I guarantee you will not regret it at all. It opened up a whole new world of navigation and flying for me. I find it hard to go back to the "older" Garmins installed in my other aircraft.

Adding Shockwave 3D Lights to the FSX Conquest II
I was wondering if anyone added the Shockwave 3D Lights to this aircraft. I looked throughout this forum but could not find any information on this. If anyone has added these lights, could you please post your a\c and panel cfg. entries? I just purchased these lights yesterday and am still trying to learn how to add them to a non-native FSX aircraft. Thanks, Raymie

Shockwave Lights for the Phenom 300
Hi Louis, Here is what I found over at A2A's website regarding their Shockwave 3 D Lights Redux. After incorporating the specs for the 300 model, the Red & Green nav lights are okay on the ground, but in the air, they are a little out of place. Not sure why as I do not know much about this. Hope this helps Raymie Here are my Shockwave Lights configurations for the Carenado Embraer Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 Carenado Embraer Phenom 100: Original modifications from avsim.com forum [LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing light.0 = 10, 8.20, 0.00, 3.00, fx_vclightcarpc, light.1 = 10, 1.80, 0.00, 1.80, fx_vclightcarpcvc, light.2 = 3, -2.0, -21.0, -.5, fx_shockwave_navred light.3 = 3, -2.0, 21.0, -.5, fx_shockwave_navgre light.4 = 1, -4.2, 0.0, 4.0, fx_shockwave_beaconb_nl *************************************************************************************** Carenado Embraer Phenom 300: [LIGHTS] //Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing light.0 = 10, 18.20, 0.00, 3.00, fx_vclightcarpt3, light.1 = 3, -2 ,-24.80 , 0.5 , fx_shockwave_navred light.2 = 3, -2 , 24.80 , 0.5 , fx_shockwave_navgre light.4 = 5, 14 ,-1.35 , -0.99 , fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_old light.5 = 5, 14 , 1.35 , -0.99 , fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_old light.6 = 6, 13.8 ,-1.35 , -0.8 , fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22 light.7 = 6, 13.8 , 1.35 , -0.8 , fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22 the Phenom 300 has four lights as landing/taxi lights. I only added two shockwave lights effects because four effects are too much light under its belly I think. Regards Stefan

Shockwave Lights for the Phenom 300
Hi Louis, Thanks for your reply and the link you posted. Unfortunately that application is for the 100 model. I tried it and there's a significant difference between the 100 & 300 models. Raymie

Shockwave Lights for the Phenom 300
I just purchased the A2A Shockwave lights for FSX and was wondering if anyone has installed them into this aircraft? I have not yet tried to install these lights myself. If anyone has, could you please share your installation specs for both a\c cfg. and panel cfg. files? Thanks, Raymie

Baron 55 Flight1 GTN Update Install
In case anyone reads this and has the same problem as I did, my problem was resolved via the latest updated version of the Baron. I was using an old version, v.1.5. Now I can enjoy the latest version of this lovely twin and the updated avionics package. Raymie

Baron 55 Flight1 GTN Update Install
I thought I would try posting this here to see if anyone else may have had this problem. I just purchased the Milviz GTN 750\650 avionics update for their Baron. Install went without a hitch. The Garmin update package seems to work fine. I can click on the hotspot for the Garmin pop up & was able to set up a flight plan. My problem is--when I use my mouse pointer & left click" on any of the "clickable switches" (aircraft lights, the two generator switches, etc), & the rotating panel light knobs, I hear a "ding" sound and the sim locks up. I cannot pan around the cockpit or even raise the menu to exit FSX. I have to do a forced shutdown (Alt Ctrl Del). I am able to click on the hot spot to remove the dual control yoke. Also, after the install and firing up FSX the initial new gauge pop up came requesting okay for what I believe was a Milviz sound.dll or sound gauge?? I hit okay and everything proceeded as normal until experiencing this problem. Any helpful thoughts from a past experience like this, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Raymie

MU-2 TAXI DIFFICULTY
Hi John, I have the same taxi configuration as you mentioned regarding the MU2. One thing I read and now practice is using a "touch of reverse thrust" to control the taxi speed. I read the same complaint about the King Airs (90 & 200) on Carenado's unofficial website--that was the reply stated by others--using reverse thrust to control taxi speed. Just takes time and practice. Hope this helps you, Raymie Spokane Valley, WA
