I'm not fond of the HD lighting but I can't control it as the 'Enable' box is ticked but greyed out. Don't know how this came about and even after a complete reinstall the same situation exists.

Any help here much appreciated.

Richard.

you need to go to your roaming/lockheed martin/p3d folder.  Open prepar3d.cfg.  change HDR=1 to HDR=0.  Then save it.  I wish they didn't make this necessary as sometimes it's nice to see it on and off without restarting the sim.

Many thanks Dave but to no avail.on the cfg front I'm afraid.

I'm going to clean up start again just to be sure it's not me.

Thanks again.

If i remember right, LM has made HDR lighting as mandatory if Enhanced Athmosphere is activated. Because EA is active by default, i assume you have EA enabled. This would be the reason why the tickbox is greyed out. If you disable EA you should be able to untick the HDR light, but if you enable EA it will be enabled aswell again.😉

So no fault on your side, everything right as it should.

The config works. Just disregard how the checkbox in the menu looks after you make the selection
