Love Active Sky, always have. Unfortunately, I won't be buying FSX for a long time at the rate things are going. Definitely a future endeavor.

Your specs are very similar to mine....I recieved FSX Delux as a gift, and didnt have enough room on my 80 to install. Purchased my 320 a while back, and installed FSX... Detail is allright, but performance isnt great at all. My 10-12FPS was only flyable due to FSX's stutter-free performance. Thats the only positive thing about it, IMHO. It is very fluent. Other than that, it seems like it is more for XBox 360. Seems to "gameish" for me. The lighting i think? I dont know, but it definently gives me the vibe of a console game or a cartoon.

Yeah..I think its the textures, they are very cartoony. Clearly we aren't FSX's demographic.

this is the FS9 forum!

Jim One attractive thing about AS is it's small memory footprint. This enables me to only run AS and TrackIR behind FS. It looks here like that's about to change with this beefed up interface. Have you any info on this? This is especially an issue for those on FSX I imagine and the more tech related simmers. She looks good though!

Moderators: The reason I put started this in the FS9 forum was that there was no announcement made in that forum last night!!!!. There already was/is an announcement in the FSX forum, so there wasn't really much point in moving it.pj

>Yeah..I think its the textures, they are very cartoony. >Clearly we aren't FSX's demographic. An interesting perspective. My preference for FSX, is that it finally raises the sim above the cartoon look of FS9's textures; at least in many areas that are important to me. Seriously... :7 L.Adamson
