Recently my Saitek Multi Panel Heading control has been acting up. All other rotary commands such as Course, Altitude, etc are working perfect. When turning the tuning knob in Heading Mode, the needle in the simulator (MSFS) jumps erratically many digits at a time. This also shows on the Saitek screen. It's worse in MSFS but I've noticed even in X-Plane 11 it is not smooth although it doesn't jump multiple digits.

I reloaded the Saitek driver but that didn't make any difference. It's the same issue on any aircraft in MSFS and often the Heading I'm seeing on the Saitek screen itself does not match the image on the simulator cockpit HSI or heading indicator. It's odd though that the Course, Altitude, VSI, etc all work perfectly.

Trying now to determine if it's an MSFS, Saitek hardware or software issue, so wondering if anyone else has had any similar issues.

Hi Ron,

Greetings from another GTA Simmer 🙂

I also have a Saitek Multi Panel but use Spad.next to drive it along with my radio panel. You could download the trial version, it runs for 14 days and see if it’s the same. Spad.next is awesome if you have Saitek Panels and other hardware. I would remove the Saitek drivers and give it a go.

It could be the electronics in the panel itself acting up but hopefully not,

Richard

hello,

I don't have this issue. Did you check that you have a double assignement for the heading control?

Like Richard, I recommend spad next. It works quite well with all the saitek panels and you can configure everything at will. I downloaded the trial version and bought it within hours since it worked so well.
