New clouds/weather , more heavy.

Featured Replies

OK i run a 2070 so i'll expect the "get a better GPU" chants.

But seriously, prior to this update everything was great at mostly ultra.

Noticed last night in cloudy weather the cloud settings are very heavy, yes they look better but slightly annoyed as i was happy with them before.

I can run them but the way my system is set up (using optimal power in NCP) and my undervolt, I can see just by changing from clear to clouds the dramatic usage change which wasn't there prior to this.

Haven't seen it mentioned anywhere?

Anyone else noticed?

I've not noticed any change in GPU/CPU utilization, however I was using the beta patch.  What does Dev Mode's Frame Rate Counter show as far as GPU load, and main thread load as well?  My former GPU was a 2070 Super and certain types of clouds were very hard on it necessitating changing to High clouds from Ultra at times.
