PMDG D-6/Prepar3D v4/No GS

Featured Replies

I have tried a variety of options for enabling GS for both RNAV and ILS approaches but nothing has worked.  I have the December update for the GNS750.  LNAV works fine.  I have searched the forum but, at this point the problems remains.  Thanks for any assistance--

Hi,

I'd suggest you update with the latest GTN v2.5.28.10 we've released yesterday and try again.

If the problem persists, can you please try with a default and simple default aircraft, in order to cross check it is not aircraft-add-on dependent.

Thanks, I will do that and report back

OK, I updated to GTN v2.5.28.10, and did a test flight from KACV-KCEC.  KCEC has a LPV, RNAV 36 approach.  The LNAV works perfectly, but at the start of the approach, CIGNA, the altitude slowly decreases.  The GTN750 displays "low alt" and there is no GS movement.   An ILS works fine.  I appreciate your help--Thanks,

Did you try this with a simple stock aircraft or the DC6?

Do you have a recommendation in Prepar3D v4?

The Baron (if you've kept it prior they remove it)?

Otherwise the Mooney Bravo should do.

Just to make sure, what is the full version number of your Prepar3d.exe file (right click > properties > details)?

Prepar3D v4.5.14.34698-I'll check out the Money--Thanks

In the Mooney Bravo, the RNAV 36 KCEC approach was perfect--

Thanks!

This rules out any problem with P3D4 or the GTN!

Now what is the DC6 doing which is not working as excepted is most likely DC6 related only. It is possible they simply don't enable vertical tracking when the NAV source is the GPS because there never was any vertical guidance capable default GPS in FSim/P3D. It has happened with other vendors and if this is the case, it would take an update. Otherwise it might be as simple as an aircraft config file but I doubt it.

Have you raised the question on their forums already?

Thanks-Yes I did but really didn’t  get answer regarding vertical tracking

Can you please post the link to their forums here, so that I can collate everything and see what I can try to pass them along?
