JAN 13 UPDATE LOST EVERYTHING

Featured Replies

Mandatory update took about 24 hrs to download. Everything in my Community Folder doesnt seem to work. So....I create a empty Community folder and replacing everything one by one. First thing I cant even do if to get a livery to even show up in FS2020 to start. First thing I did was to have the FBW Installer download the development plane. This is the only thing in the community folder. Then I download the American Airline Livery from my previous download from Flightsim.to.

I can not find it anywhere in FS2020. Its not in my hanger either. Just the original liveries that come with the Sim.

Sounds like you might have two installations now.

You probably have a new community folder somewhere else. Can you search your PC for it?

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Ok.....now what......I did find %appdata% /local/packages/Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe/localCache/Packages   and there I find a Community Folder with nothing in it and a ONE STORE folder with lots of Asobo items in it.

I have a desk top FS2020 folder which includes also a One Store folder with the Asobo items and this AppData community folder.

I did move my downloaded desktop FBW American airlines download to the Appdata community folder and it did show up finally in FS2020.

Maybe I need to delete the One store AppData folder and just leave the one on the desktop.

Delete your new FS install from Add-Remove Programs.  Don't do anything to your original location. Backup your community folder.  From the Store reinstall FS2020 and when it shows you the path point it to your original location.  That should solve the issue.  You may have to put the contents of your Community folder that you backed up back into the location of the just installed FS.  It's important you don't let the sim pick the location for the reinstall.  As long as you don't do that it's a painless reinstall.
