June 3, 200620 yr Hi, just curious to know why pilots do not use the Fokker F-100 rear brake on landing as much as the Fokker F-28, and F-70s. I searched airliners.net and found 1 or 2 photos of American F-100 using with airbrakes. Not too many for USAirways either. Just courious to know why. Thanks,Bill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)

May 22, 200818 yr It is a bit more unusal as compared to the BAe 136/Avro RJ but often used when winds are strong or gusty. That will make the engines run at a higher RPM during final and thus have a faster reaction in case needed. Happy flying!Alexander M. Metzger
