Problem with Addon linker? (more likely with ME)

Featured Replies

I have used this great program for months without any issue.  Now, for some reason, the content of some folders (not all) are mutually exclusive, but not quite.

I can select/deselect the folder as a whole but if I select files individually, only one at a time remains active.

I must have busted a setting somewhere but can't find what.  I have looked for options in "dependencies"... nada.  I have the latest update.

Grateful for advice.

Philippe

Hello,

You said you checked the dependencies, but are any of those addons having the problem set as dependency of something else (you can see that by using the 'dependencies viewer screen') ? By default, 'unused dependency' are automatically unselected when you select something and that may explain what you are seeing.

First thing you should try is go to the option screen and check the option called 'do not automatically disable dependencies if not used' (the option is in the 'additional options' tab near the bottom). Then click ok, if you then restart the tool, does that make a difference ?

Maybe it's has nothing to do with that and we will need to investigate further (maybe if you post some screens or a little video showing what's happening it would help), let me know, thank you 🥂

Exactly as posted:  the problem was me!  Thank you Bad_T for your prompt reply.

I had at some point, for testing something else, disabled all addons.  That included one which , unbeknownst to me, had those listed as dependencies.  I will fix that ASAP and keep the option you mention checked.

Thanks again!
