Map Display issues with OpenStreetMap and other maps

is there a way to save a choosen view theme? When I start LNM I always get the broken map.

It's saved per default. LNM remembers almost all settings on restart, unless you disabled this in options on page "Startup and Updates".

Install a new LNM in another folder in case something went wrong with the map theme installation. Settings and databases are stored in Roaming anyway.
Usually the data folder in the LNM installation folder is missing if the map stays black.

If this does not help try Tools -> Reset all settings and restart.

Hello

a question: the site openstreetmap seems to work on all zoom factors (https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=2/37.9/37.6)

while in LNM it bugs ...

do you have an explanation to the problem? MSfs / MS or Asobo would not be behind this?

Regards

Merged threads. Seems OSM is broken. I cannot do anything about this. Use another map theme in the meantime. See also here:

Hi Alex,

Im currently working with Karry from OSM to establish a replacement for the missing hillshading tiles. See here: https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/Karry/diary/47416

Its not production ready yet, because i have to implement some rendering/caching to not overload Karrys servers.

Will update you on this when its ready. Do you think this will help? Its already working in my dev environment as simple replacement in hillshading.dgml

best regards,

Andre

Hi Andre,

this will help for sure! Even more if it is not as limited as the old hillshading data which goes only up to 65° North and does not cover New Zealand and many more countries.
Regarding overloading servers: I'd not use a Raspberry PI or similar but rather rent a virtual server for this. Or use littlenavmap.org. I doubt a Raspi can stand this load.

We can continue the discussion in PM right here, GitHub discussions, email or whatever you prefer for the details like hosting.
