Howard, that's the wrong question to ask... ;)As it happens, ALL gauges that work on the 2d panel will also "work" in the VC.The proper question then is, "Is it possible to place XXX in the VC?"The answer to that is "yes, no, maybe..." :-eek IOW, it depends entirely on just how the VC gauges are arranged for display. Like all "good designs," the default FSX aircraft have individual gauge "polygons" on which to project single gauges. What this means is that, as a "rule of thumb," you can only replace like-for-like.You can replace a "round gauge" with a similar sized "round gauge," but would have a tough time putting a "rectangular gauge" where a "round gauge" was, and so on... :-lol :-lol For example, if you were wanting to replace the default G500 GPS with anyone's GNS530 GPS unit, you'd probably achieve some degree of success. On the other hand, since many of the knobs in the VC of default a/c have 3d modeled knobs, those knobs might not be the right size or shape for the replacement gauge, which in turn will possibly be quite ugly...Some 3d-party modelers (particularly freeware) opt for the simpler approach to VC layout, and actually divide their panel into several parts, where gauges are arranged in their exact positions on that part of the panel they represent. In such cases, substitutions are usually easier and have a higher chance of being successful. As I said at the top, the answer will always be "Yes, no, maybe." :)
