May 13, 200719 yr Noone has helped so Ill make a suggestiondo you have tileproxy folder in fsx directory? contains world folder, and has your scenery been modded check by looking in scenic library is there a list of worls item ticked. If I were you Id dowload beta 2 again and reinstall?just trying to help as Im sasure youre gonna be very frustratedRich
May 13, 200719 yr your system lacks the fltmc.exe program. This is required to activate the filter driver. Do you run Windows XP? Maybe you can ask friends to send that binary to you. You could place it in the TileProxy folder and hope for the best ;)
May 13, 200719 yr Hi guys, Thanks for your help. It would definitely make sense that fltmc.exe is missing from my system and causing the error messages. Is this a Windows system file (I do have XP) that should normally be present, or a file specifically installed during Tile Proxy installation? The installation is creating the two folders and files that are discussed in the manual and I have tried both Beta 1 and 2 versions with the same end result. There is no such fltmc.exe file in the Tile Proxy folder though. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could send me this file (via Email). Thanks Christian for making this wonderful program available to us. Flying virtually anywhere in the world and being able to see the "real thing" is something I have been dreaming of for a very long time. Hopefully I can get this working.Tony
May 14, 200719 yr Hi TonyHave a look in C: Windows system32 and you should find this file.it's a Microsoft XP file and not a TileProxy one.if you find it, make a copy and drop it inside your TP folder.if not I'll send it to you via email if you give me your address because I can't find it in your profile.best regardsDavidEDIT: I try to send it as an attachment.if it works, unzipp it and drop the file in the system32 folder and that should be ok :--)) - PC Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D // Asus ROG Crosshair X870E HERO // 2x32Gb Corsair Dominator Titanium DDR5 6000MT/s CL30 // ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 OC Edition // 4Tb Corsair NVMe M.2 MP600 // Corsair 1600W PSU Samsung Odyssey Arc 55" curved 165 Hz monitor. - Simulator Hardware: VIRPIL Constellation Alpha Prime + VIRPIL VPC Universal Control Panel - #3 + MOZA AY210 Force Feedback Yoke + WINWING URSA MINOR 32 Throttle & PAC Metal + WINWING SKYWALKER Metal Rudder Pedals + WINWING Airbus FCU & EFIS + WINWING Boeing 3N PAP + WINWING MCDU-32 + WINWING PFP-4 + WINWING PFP 3-N + WINWING PFP-7.
May 14, 200719 yr Hi David, I did in fact have the fltmc.exe file in that Windows directory and I copied it into the Tile Proxy folder. Problem solved, everything works now! I am very happy. Thanks for all the help. I just got my San Francisco (Bay area) tiles downloaded and wow. Looks great. I think I will spend the next few months exploring California :) I am really amazed how accurately the FSX runways and taxiways are lining up to the aerial images and how well the dynamic road traffic aligns to major motorways. Now all that is missing is the use of the central repository here to upload/download any coastline (or inland water) definitions that we may be so inclined as to create for these tiles. Also, has anyone TP'd (explored) Alaska yet, I wonder? Many thanks,Tony
