Annoying pop up window flicker

Featured Replies

My mouse pointer blanks off after it is stationary for 5 seconds. At the same time any overlying window such as the GPS begins to flicker on and off. If I move the mouse the pointer reappears and the GPS window stops flickering. This only happens with FSX and occurs in both the full screen or windowed modes. The mouse cursor remains visible in all other applications including FS2004. I noticed there have been a couple posts about the mouse pointer flickering but there doesn't seem to be a solution in the previous posts. I tried backing off my hardware acceleration a notch with no improvement. I am using the standard windows white mouse pointer. Any ideas on a solution to this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Your not alone!Turn off the cockpit tooltips in Settings. That's the biggest culprit.

Thanks for the suggestion but no joy. I wonder if there is any way to simulate a left mouse button click every 4 seconds to keep the cursor active?
