"Cycle View" Question

Recommended Posts

Hello: Yes, I have tried and tried to find the answer to my question! Is there a key command that will duplicate the old "S" view command in FSX and cycle between three or four views and return to the standard cockpit view? I suspect there is, I just can't find it! Your assistance will be appreciated!

No, there is not such a cycle view in MSFS.

But there is one to cycle the fixed views (a.k.a. the instrument views).

First move from the main forward view to the fixed camera view 1: Toggle Fixed Camera 1 (Control 1)

Then cycle forwards and backwards thru them all: Next Fixed Camera or Previous Fixed Camera (A or Shift A)

Then return to the main forward view: Reset Cockpit View (F)

But you can't cycle thru cockpit view, outside view, and drone (showcase) view

If you've got a stick or yoke then you can cycle through the default cockpit views with the left and right hat switches. One of the best cockpit switches in my view.

Yeah Mike, one of the first things I assigned on my Warthog stick for MSFS was the 4 way H hat: reset cockpit view, toggle cockpit view 1, and of course previous/next cockpit view. I use those more than any other commands from the stick.

'Cockpit/External View toggle' is about the closest to the old S key. The default key for that is 'End'
