February 1, 20224 yr Flying right now from YJUK to YPTJ in the red desert of Australia at 4500 feet (nasty cumulus all around me from about 5000 feet up). The tail wind is an impressive 44 knots from the East. Does it sound realistic to the fellow Australians on this board ? It gives a nice 165 knots GS in the Porter at a 43 gph 😄 ! BTW impressive imagery and mesh where I fly. At 1877 feet, the upwind was at 22 knots, mercifully almost in the direction of the runway. I guess my Porter has never flown so fast but the landing was a peach 😀 !
