February 2, 20224 yr Has anyone figured out how to assign the Flood lights switch in the default MSFS Baron and Bonanza to a yoke switch? I find assignments for Panel and Cockpit lights, but I cannot identify which MSFS Controls setting influences the flood lights. For clarity I have circled the Flood light I am referring to and the Flood light switch I am referring to in this image from the Bonanza. I have now confirmed its Glareshield, which I had tried multiple times, but I also found there is an interference. The same interference applies equally to at least the Baron and Bonanza. I have not tried other aircraft models. First, SET GLARESHIED is not working with my switch. That setting is showing no action. GLARESHIELD LIGHTS ON and GLARESHIELD LIGHTS OFF work nicely with my switch and I found those settings are indeed working the glareshield lights in the Bonanza and Baron. But it is very difficult to detect that it is working. That is because it illuminates the glareshield lights at their minimum brightness. And when binding two those functions to the two position switch, for some reason the Inst Flood rheostat knob in the cockpit cannot be rotated. So it is stuck at minimum brightness, which is barely detectible. I see there is an MSFS binding for SET GLARESHIELD LIGHTS POWER SETTING but I cannot determine how to use it. Have you tried using the Bonanza improvement mod? I don't use the stock bonanza but on the improvement mod the Inst Flood rheostat turns fine and the glareshield brightness can be set (it starts off for me on full brightness). Do you maybe have a control mapping conflict on Inst Flood which is preventing you from turning the rheostat? I've had that happen before to me.
