I have P2ATC set to randomize my approaches, but often get VOR or NDB approaches. I get these are valid IFR approaches but am wondering 1) how common are these to get from ATC when ILS and RNAV is available for same runway, 2) Is there a way to randomize but take certain approaches out?

When it happens, I usually just look at the available approaches for the assigned runways and then request vectors for RNAV / ILS.

No, but you can just select the approach you want in your flight plan and uncheck the Randomize Approaches option.
