Chequered Livery?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Any idea why I am getting this chequered livery? It's not the first time I've seen it but it is an immersion killer that I am finally fed up with. I have just now updated my Nvidea driver to 511.75 but the issue existed from several driver updates back. It hasn't fixed it with the new driver. Is it just a missing paint mask or something? The livery was downloaded from Flightsim.to.

Cheers

Terry

No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.

Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower!

Did you check if this is the last version of the livery? This did happen to me in the past and it was due to this reason. If you have not done it yet, make sure you keep your Flights.to account with update notifications.

Can you try this one: https://flightsim.to/file/132/air-new-zealand-787-livery-by-satbir

It usually means the sim can't find the textures, either because the textures are missing or have the wrong name or assignment.
IIRC, MSFS has undergone some changes a while ago which caused some liveries to require an update.

Thanks for your suggestions @Bernard Ducret and @orchestra_nl. Based on that, I went back into my community folder and found two sets of liveries both of which contained many of these chequered issues including the Air NZ livery. But some didn't. Anyway, I removed both folders and replaced them with a third folder I just downloaded from Flightsim.to but which just has just got the two Air NZ liveries. They both work. But of course I will no longer have different airlines presenting B787's to the gates when AIG finally come back on line.  So I'll do a bit more looking for updated B787 liveries and see what I can find. But yep, you solved the problem for me guys, it wasn't the driver causing the issues. It's the textures not being updated I guess.

Cheers
