IFE Visual Simulations F35 Lightning II

Recommended Posts

Can anyone enlighten me as to the difference between the F35 available in the default P3Dv4 installation, and the IFE Visual Simulations version that can now be downloaded for free (version 3.70 for P3Dv4/5)? I am particulalry interested in the F35B and its STOVL capability.

The manual says that the default F-35 is a simplified version of the IFE version you can now download.

Ah, so it is worth the download. Thank you, Joseph.

Yes, it is worth the download. The download F-35 is better than the default one. It is a lot harder. I have been playing around with the B version and that is hard to do the vertical landings (at least for me it is).

It is the VTOL stuff that I am interested in. I want to visit all of those lovely small airfields that I have installed for the UK without having to use a small GA plane. The bonus of VTOL is that I can get down virtually anywhere.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but.....where can I find the P3Dv4 installer for this? It only seems to offer installation into P3Dv5, but the manual seems to indicate that it has separate installers for P3Dv2/3/4??

That is where I downloaded the P3Dv5 version. I think that this version is also for v4, but the installation instructions are for the ADDONS folder, which I think is how it is done in v5 only. Maybe I just need to install it to a temporary folder, and then manually transfer the files and folders to the correct locations? It certainly does not work by just installing it to an ADDONS folder in the main Prepar3d v4 folder.
