Using voice from another PC

Featured Replies

Hi, I have all my voice comms set up on a 2nd client pc on the network, I have UGCX on my main sim PC.  Are there any ideas how to get voice input on the client PC to be picked up by UGCX on the main PC?

I have this working with Vpilot for vatsim.  They have a remote and host version of their software.

Thx

Charles

Hi Bryan, what if I ran a cable from the Line out of my 2nd PC to the Line In of the main PC where I have UGCX?

You could try it.  It won't hurt.

Here's a great video showing UGCX in Home Cockpit setup.

I don't know exactly how he has it setup.  But it's probably pretty non standard.  So a lot of things are possible if you're willing to think outside the box.

Btw, I got this working and is something big for everyone who use voice on a networked PC, separate from the main FS server pc.  Basically just install the excellent, and free, Voicemeter Banana program on your server and client PCs, then use its VBAN function to send voice to whichever PC you want on your network.  I send my voice from a client PC (where I have my headphones and vatsim, to the server where I can speak to UCGX.  It works really well,
