March 27, 20224 yr Hi All, suddenly I have noticed bursts of sound distortion which are sometimes accompanied by a short freezing of the sim. I switched the sound output to my head set and its there as well. Other sound sources such as playing music from the music folder work fine thru both speakers and headset. Sound files in the P3D folder also are without distortion. Any suggestions for this? Regards Charles
March 27, 20224 yr Not sure if it might be the same for you but when I had this, it was related to Realtek drivers. I removed the sound devices through the Device manager then let Windows reinstall everything but using Windows drivers. That fixed it for me. Intel i7 6700K @4.3. 32gb Gskill 3200 RAM. Z170x Gigabyte m/b. 28" LG HD monitor. Win 10 Home. 500g Samsung 960 as Windows home. 1 Gb Mushkin SSD for P3D. GTX 1080 8gb.
