May 22, 200719 yr After reading almost all the comments on these forums I decided to give SP1 a test and did three 3 hour flights using also the Wilco A320 and ASv6. All flights were from LMML to EGLL framerates at EGLL were around 20 and at LMML in the 40s.I can say that this was a nice experience, except for about three instances where I encountered two types of problems. The first was that all of sudden, it seems that the weather changes so badly that the A320 becomes uncontrollable and speed varies between going towards 400Knots to less then 150Knots. I seen this once some time after take off and another when flying over France where the bus dived down and crashed, I left it to see what happens.Another thing that I noticed is that I had one or two instances were the frame rate goes down to 1 or 2 frames for a few seconds. I noticed this at least once while approacing EGLL.I do not know exactly whether these issues are due to SP1, Wilco or ASv6. I am sure that when ASv6 is intially setting the weather the frame rate tends to go down and also noticed that the upper part of the sky starts flashing when wheather is updated.I appreciate some feedback on this experience if anybody encountered these issues before as I do not know exactly why this is happening.SystemASUS P5WDG2-WSE66007600GS 512MbyteXP Sp2Thanks
May 22, 200719 yr Hello,I use a similar constellation (wilco PIC Airbus, Active Sky 6.5 Build 552 and FSX SP1) and get the same hard weather transitions. I think that Active Sky is causing the problems. AS6.5 is only patched to be used with FSX and does not support weather smoothing when run with FSX.So I think that is the reason for your trouble.I am waiting for the new ASX which will (hopefully) soon be published.I hope this helps.regardsUlrich regards uli
May 23, 200719 yr I thought the Wilco Airbus was only for FS9? How did you get it to work in FSX? Dave Taylor
May 23, 200719 yr I am sure you are aware that Wilco sells an airbus which is developed by feelthere and this is what I am using.
May 23, 200719 yr >So how did you get the HSI to display and all the other>switches? There are two versions for FS9 and FSX ;-)Andr André
May 24, 200719 yr Hi Stems,1. The flashing is due to FSX.2. For the stuttering please use the throttling options.3. All external smoothing is controlled through SimConnect now and the new AS X fixes this. Thanks, Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
May 24, 200719 yr Sorry Jim what do you mean by throttling option. Also as regards flashing is it something in FSX together with ASv6 or even FSX on its own. I have seen people updateing video drivers, does this have any effect.
May 24, 200719 yr Hi,In ASv6 Options there are Throttling Options in the lower left. Make sure you are using B552.Even FSX on it's own has this.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/banners/hifi-community-sigbanner.jpghttp://www.hifisim.com/
May 24, 200719 yr Thanks for the info, I beleive I am using B533, I will check when I return home in that case I will downlaod the upgrade.
