  1. And here comes the vegemato  get the qualitywings 757- I got both and I like it much better than CS Uli
  2. My fs2004 has grown to more than 120 GByte Harddisc SSD exclusive real estate. As for the ram-disc: I don't think there is a PC mainboard that supports as much of RAM. My sim btw runs stutterless and smooth. The SSD made the start-up of the sim very fast, reloading scenery data goes unnoticable fast. I am very satified with this solution. Regards Uli
  3. So Aerosoft will make an addon for FS2004? Next Year? I doubt that, because Mathijs Kok allways stated that FS2004 won't be worth of producing addons, because lack of purchases.I for myself have fs2004 running on XP (and only that plus addons on this machine)and purchased FShotSFX today. It adds a plus of immersion that I like very much.regardsUli
  4. Hello JB,I don't think that a network install is THE cure for depiction problems (and other) with ASA. I have been running all Hifi weather tools via network ever. And ASA still has depiction issues and Cloud pops. This is with FS9 and WideFS. I am just tired of complaining and hoping for the best. Though ASA gives impressive cloudscape at times, the popping is what irritates the most. Seems that the "double feature" to support FS9 and FSX in one go inherited the popping to fs9, this was not the case in AS6.5.regardsUli
  5. Hello,it happens often that metars from nearby stations differ by time, which causes strange weather depiction.e.g.LFCR 071323Z 31014KT 10SM CLR 09/00 A2900LFDH 071100Z 32005KT 10SM BKN008 09/08 A2900reported through ASA/fs9 today on a flight from EDDF to LEMG0ther metars got similar differences (time). Can't this be sorted out?regardsuli
  6. Try to set in the GLOBAL section of the ini:UseEffect=1The effect should be there at startup.in the attachment you will find my ini file which I played around with. maybe you will find it usefull.regardsUli
  7. Hello,Looks nice! But eats 10 of 25 Frames in FS2004 with default settings in the ini file.I will try a little moreRegardsUli
  8. hello,as an alternative you can separate aircraft noise from atc-chatter by using a second soundcard. On the second soundcard connect a headphone. In controlpanel/sounds and audiodevices (maybe in english XP version this is called different, as I have a german OS) in he "voice" tab you select that soundcard the headphone is connected to. And you get realism :-), ATC is talking to you via the headphone.regardsUli
  9. Hello,I have thought about this earlier. What came in my mind, was what if one gifted "mission"eer can "abuse" the FSX Mission system to do such tutorial, systems briefing and so on.This would be very fine as an extra on those complex Airliners which will hopefully arrive soon.Is this possible?regards Uli
  10. Hello, please look at the contrails from downside and you know what is meant :-)I asked for this in different forums, but it seems to be no interest is this.So the contrails visibility from Ground is what I miss to.regardsUli
  11. hello,it affects the "chrome"-parts of the plane, like propeller spinners, for example.I see the ground reflections on top and the sky reflections on the downside.regardsuli
  12. hello,I tried it, texture seems to be upside down :-) in the sim.And what about framerate gain?Im not shure so far.regardsUli
  13. Hello, half an hour ago it got me to. The errormessage contains amoung other cryptic numbers "system.argumentoutofrange".I am glad that it not my system :-), I hope they'll fix it soon.regardsUlrich
  14. Hello,I use a similar constellation (wilco PIC Airbus, Active Sky 6.5 Build 552 and FSX SP1) and get the same hard weather transitions. I think that Active Sky is causing the problems. AS6.5 is only patched to be used with FSX and does not support weather smoothing when run with FSX.So I think that is the reason for your trouble.I am waiting for the new ASX which will (hopefully) soon be published.I hope this helps.regardsUlrich
