I installed MSFS 2020 SU9 beta. Everything worked OK.

Then, I decided to use PF3 for IFR and went downhill from there.

I finally decided to go back to use Native ATC and now I cannot get MCE to correctly recognize the Alpha push button 1.

I go through the procedure in MCE to press the button, but the window keeps flashing and MCE keeps recognizing different butttons, but never button 1.

Help!

I'm guessing this is a simconnect issue...SU9 appears to have issues with simmconnect.

I have it fixed...I found MCE.INI file and modified to use button 1. All is OK now. However, please note that using the Change button on MCE does not work at this time.

No worries...

I suggest you set the PTT using the app wizard.

Windows Start->Multi Crew Experience->run app wizard.

Pay attention when you get to the joystick button assignment screen.

The wiard should filter out buttons that are "always ON" and only allow spring-loaded ones. There should be no button listed unless you press one.

After that MCE will record the assigned button and only monitor that one.

If not going smoothly, eventually disconnect all joysticks except the one that has the desired PTT button, assign one using wizard and later re-connect the other joysticks.

As for PF3, in addition to setting MCE mode to PF3 in UI, go to PF3 main installation folder and open "PF3_MCE.ini". Ensure you set

Active=1

Always keep PF3 VCP mode at 0

Then read this thread
