The SID loads but often times the STAR does not, and only the approach loads from the flightplan. This is fine, and I dont think its a problem. After reading the docs, these questions remain: If it's blank at takeoff, will P2A assign me an appoach at some point during the flight...or do I have to manually add a STAR? If I do have a full SID/STAR/ARR flightplan at takeoff, and the weather conditions completely change during a 3+ hour flight...does P2A assign a new approach? What "ATC Options" config is best for IFR flights to enable this? So in summary, I'm hoping to get a better understanding of P2A beta so I can configure it when I need to, but leave it alone when I dont. I'd like to let it "do it's thing" instead of manually interfering, if indeed it has that capability. Edited April 6, 20224 yr by jstnj
April 8, 20224 yr Commercial Member If you want P2A to do the assignment of all procedures, then your FltPln tab of Config should have the followning options checked: ATC Assigns SID ATC Assigns STAR ATC Assigns APPR Then, after you import the flight plan, press the AutoPlan button and the procedures will be assigned. If you're flying a STAR, the STAR, or at least the Transition Waypoint for the STAR needs to be in the flight plan when you file so you will not be flying off course even when the plane is "on the course line". If you want P2A to change runways when the winds change, then uncheck the "Force Pilot Runway Selection" option. If you're flying without a STAR and want to wait until the Arrival setup call before descent to know what approach you will get, then uncheck the "Auto Load Recommended Procedures" option. Dave

Dave Thanks Dave. This is what I was looking for.
