April 14, 20224 yr Hey Dave, I believe this has been an issue in the current "stable" release and has carried over into the Betas. If you are on the ATIS frequency, and change to another frequency (during the pause between ATIS announcements) ATIS continues to broadcast on the changed to frequency. If you make the change while ATIS is broadcasting (speaking) it changes fine and stops. In turn, you have to switch back to ATIS, wait for it to start broadcasting and then make your change again to make it stop.
April 14, 20224 yr Commercial Member I'll check it out. Thanks, Dave Edit: I couldn't reproduce this behavior with 6 tries. Could be a timing issue or something specific to the SIM/Aircraft. All frequency changes go through the SIM and can behave slightly differently. I'll keep an eye on it during my flights. Edited April 14, 20224 yr by Dave-Pilot2ATC

Thanks Dave, I can reproduce it every time I'll grab a video and log of it tonight if that helps. I know others I fly with have the same experience.
April 14, 20224 yr Commercial Member Which SIM and aircraft does it happen with. I tested with P3D and it didn't happen, but it might with others. Thanks, Dave
April 14, 20224 yr Commercial Member After waiting an hour or more for the unavoidable MSFS update to complete, I did the test and could not get ATIS to keep talking when I switched to ClrDelivery. Here's how I did the test: Started and Connected P2A at KSBA Waited until ATIS was done giving the Departing Runway Pressed the Active Com Freq box to do the Swap I repeated this 6 or 7 times to try and get my timing to be able to duplicate the problem, but I failed. April 18, 20224 yr Author Apologies Dave, I just realized I explained it backwards. It’s when the air is dead (so if you first switch to ATIS and then back before it starts speaking) or if you switch at the end of the announcement before it starts over again. It’ll start playing on the changed to frequency.
April 18, 20224 yr Commercial Member That sounds like timing issues. P2A goes through the aircraft to change frequencies. If you change too fast, it won't pick it up. Or, it may be late picking up the change away from ATIS and has already started playing ATIS information again before the change registers. Unfortunately, swapping again is the only solution. Dave
