Rudder/Steering

Featured Replies

Please some help...

Notice...this is about steering the airplane on the ground.

I have been literally struggling with this issue for days:

First of the bat...i am not in the posession of any kind of rudder pedals at the moment (maybe in the future)

I am using a Saitek yoke and throttle system so for rudder steering left and right i use the flight yoke and also at times the keyboard (the 0 and enter keys on the numeric pad)

The problem is that on both the keyboard and the yoke when i steer to the left strangely enaugh also my Cesna throttle increases!...and i am like what the hell?...that should not be happening!

So i have kinda already asked this question here and some one told me to check in the yokes control input that it should only be assigned to Ailerons and not to any other Axis....and that is the case as you can see below.

Yet still this is not solving the problem.

Unless,  of course i am still doing something wrong.

I mean why the heck is the airplanes throttle also increasing on its own when i steer to the left with both the keyboard and the yoke?...

Never had this issue with other flight simulators.

And as you can also see on my keyboard by default the left rudder is set to 0 on the numeric pad...and the right rudder (not shown here) is set to the enter key on the numeric pad.

Yet when i press on the o key to steer left on the ground...the airplane immediately also increases throttle/speed!...my question is why?...this is not supposed to happen.

I also tested this on the Diamond airplane...same issue.

I just dont get it.

I was going to say are there any thrust settings defined in the keyboard side but evidently not. Sometimes it's worth binning the whole keyboard profile and setting it up again.

You might try the Monster Cub.  It has a steerable nose wheel that you can steer with your yoke.
