May 25, 200719 yr >>Show me a single fighter plane for FS with a better VC. I'm>quite sure you cannot do it.The VC for the Alphasim SR-71 is first rate and while technically not a fighter, it is a fine example of a military cockpit. Another is the CLS F-117A. Regardless of the cockpit, the reality is that most of the modern jet fighters modeled for FSX ( and earlier versions of FS) have been limited in fidelity by limitations of the code within flight sim. There are a few exceptions. If you want to really experience a reasonably good flight model of a modern jet fighter you will have to get into one of the flavours of Falcon. Lomac does a reasonable job of flight modelling of modern fighters too. While there is a very steep learning curve to achieve competent knowledge of all the systems, (virtually all cockpit buttons work in the F-16 cockpit) you can learn to fly the jet reasonably quickly if you already have some FS experience. You can even do a cold start, but you have to follow the correct proceedure. Air restarts are also modelled correctly.IMHO, the best approach is to enjoy FSX for what it is, and to enjoy one of the Falcon flavours for what they are....definately, it's ok to enjoy both :-)kingsnake11
May 25, 200719 yr Yeah I've been waiting for a FS fighter to come along with a LOMAC or better quality VC, and so far this is the only one I've seen. I've got the Alphasim SR-71, and though the external model and flight model are good, and its fun to fly, the VC budget does not fit my description of high quality, though thats not to say its bad or there is anything wrong with it. Its just that to me a high quality VC should be on par with what I see in LOMAC.
May 25, 200719 yr Does the VC work, and look good - does the model fly nicely?? I have the Marchetti and i LOVE it! Thanks again.Danon O.
