May 2, 20224 yr So I was cruising along and suddenly my GPU starts to go to 100% usage (it stayed there for the remainder of this episode). In the following minutes FPS deterioriated slowly but steady (down to 5 FPS in the end), while my GPU temps also got lower and lower (30 degrees in the end) - with 100% usage! I forgot to check the GPU clock, but I presume it was massively clocked down for some reason (this is the only technical possibility of it having high usage with low temps). EDIT: By the way, the FPS remained that low in the ESC menu, which I never saw before… I did not do anything else in the background. I saved the flight, reloaded (not even exiting MSFS) and all was fine again like nothing happened (GPU usage 60%, FPS fine). So it must be a MSFS bug and not a graphics card failure, right...? This is the first time EVER this happened to me and I've searched the internet but have not come across someone that had that happen on MSFS yet. Does anyone know something about this? I don't want this to happen again... is my GPU failing (god please no)?Specs: Ryzen 5600x 1080ti (457.30 drivers working great since 2020... until now at least) 32 GB RAM 2k monitor Edited May 2, 20224 yr by Fiorentoni added drivers, corrected syntax For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. May 2, 20224 yr Thanks for taking th time to report. Never happened to me but I am saving it in my database of "strange" events 🙂 just in case one of these days it happens around here too ... I'm on an RTX 3060 Ti though. So far MFS has been very smooth, with sim VSync ON, no throttling in the GPU settings, and 30fps sharp under pretty much all circumstances.
