May 9, 20224 yr Hello MCE team, I have two suggestions for even smoother MCE - PF3 inter-operation. Firstly, the FO should wait 5 seconds after a frequency change to contact the next facility. It would prevent unnecessary transmissions, and I believe it is also real world ops. Secondly, sometimes, especially when reading back the long instructions that are issued by Approach, the FO struggles to read back the message without being interrupted. Sometimes, he seems to give up, which can then lead to problems later in the flight. After a few unsuccessful tries, he should just go through with his message, disregarding any interruptions. Additionally, what could help with that is if MCE were to press PFE's game key repeatedly, maybe once a second, or even better according to the game key time-out settings in PFE. I have configured FSUIPC to repeatedly press the game key while I push the PTT button, and it works pretty well.
