May 10, 20224 yr The 737 will very rarely be found from the Captain's POV in Cold & Dark state. In the FMC you can load States and set the one you like to the default state that the aircraft will load to on every start. The ones in normal text are MSFS/Asobo states, the ones in CAPLOCK are PMDG's. The best state to start with seems to be APPRONLONG, once you load this state, your now a lot closer to how it should be. But... You will have a lot of Fuel/PAX and cargo onboard/loaded, wrong. Go into the FMC set PAX and Cargo to Zero and set fuel for amount the aircraft would normaly have left after a flight, I set it to 2136 KG. Now save that state, you will have to name it, I used TURN AROUND. Save and set as your default. Now your aircraft will be in a turnaround state ready for you to load the right amount of PAX/Cargo/Fuel as Simbrief says. Edited May 10, 20224 yr by Nyxx David Murden. May 10, 20224 yr Yes nice! But the Asobo option seems even nicer. I tried the 'apron' (Asobo) as default state and when I loaded another flight everything was as I left it previously and this without saving a flight or anything. It depends honestly… For smaller airlines where an (often subcontracted) engineer performed the daily check during the night he will not remain on the Flightdeck and wait until the crew arrives a few hours later… After his checks the engineer will unpower the aircraft the again and leave it connected on the ground service bus so that catering , fueling and cleaning can all take place at the appropriate time. The engineer will then move on to the next aircraft he needs to sign off before the morning rush. The cockpit will stay cold and dark until the flight crew arrives.
