May 15, 20224 yr Hi, When installing MSFS2020 via Steam can I install the Community Folder & MSFS2020 to the same SSD rather than it being on the main drive of the PC? Is anyone able to offer how this is done with some instructions if possible? Thanks Jason Jason Thompson
May 16, 20224 yr Yes. After installing the program from Steam, the first time you run the program you will get to a screen called "Installation Manager". On that screen, look to the lower right and you should see a path that the MSFS data will be installed to. You can change that path to whatever you wish (as long as it is a valid path). For example, my Steam installation is on my G: drive (a large fast NVMe drive). At the Installation Manager screen, I changed the path to G:\FlightSim. ...jim Edited May 16, 20224 yr by JimBrown ASUS Prime Z790-E, Intel i9 13900K, 32Gb DDR5 Ram, Nvidia 3090 24Gb, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500 GB and 1 TB, Samsung Odyssey G9 Ultrawide 49" G-SYNC Monitor.
May 16, 20224 yr Author Jim, Thanks for your reply. Did you install the English Language Pack for Apps & Website as it says? Or do I not need to bother with this? If I need that it can just go into the main C Drive on windows doesn't it? Thanks Jason Jason Thompson
May 17, 20224 yr I did not install any language packs. But then, I'm in Canada, using a US Layout keyboard with English (Canada) and English (US) languages. If you do need to install a language pack, I don't believe you are given a choice of where it will install. Also, they are relatively small, less than 30mb each. ...jim ASUS Prime Z790-E, Intel i9 13900K, 32Gb DDR5 Ram, Nvidia 3090 24Gb, Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500 GB and 1 TB, Samsung Odyssey G9 Ultrawide 49" G-SYNC Monitor.
