May 17, 20224 yr Hi, I just span up the PMDG DC-6 after a long while - with the latest release of MCE. All the things that were set up to work are fine (flaps, gear etc...) but for some reason I can't assign a checklist... I created one manually and it used to work fine previously, but now I can't even look at the checlist tab to select a checklist, instead each time I try it tells me that this option is disabled and I should re-enable from the general tab. When trying this, the checklist radio button will not allow me to check it... any ideas? James W

You'll haveto go through the wizard after that. No need for speech training. It should assign a default checklist for DC-6, then assign yours. Since that plane isn't supported, use the "No state check" option so that there are no challenges. May 23, 20224 yr Author Hi Gerald, Just FYI, unfortunately it still isn't working as it should. I did a quick test and ran MCE with the DC6 in P3D and it worked fine, and I was able to assign a custom checklist... I noticed it had then populated the checklist entry with the name of the DC6 beside custom checklist I chose.. I then ran MSFS and on first attempt MCE loaded, recognised the DC6 and I was able to select checklist.. however now it seems to be intermittently not recognising the DC6. Sometimes it loads fine, other times I have to restart the sim a couple times before it all works. James W

Dothe entries in "aircraft.cfg" still list DC6 or DC-6 in [fltsim.X] section? Other than that, perhaps some accesws rights to C:\Users\ or one of its subfolders, causing MCE not to read the "mce.ini" as it would with normal settings. It is meant to save the custom checklist to the ini. In P3D or FSX, the custom checklist is usually tied to a specific livery in "aircraft.cfg". In MSFS, it's done differently. Will have to check with colleague and get back to you. Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com

We will have to add a new [CHECKLIST_MSFS] where the custom checklist path will be stored as it's different from how it is stored in P3D & FSX (tied to livery vs tied to aircraft type) Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com

Get the latest patch which among other things addresses a few items related to PMDG 737 support in MSFS, then confirm whether your specific checklist issue with DC-6 is sorted. I do not own a copy of that plane, neither in MSFS nor in P3D, therefore have to rely on your feedback. Thank you http://www.multicrewxp.com/Latest-Beta-Patch.zip Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
June 6, 20223 yr Author Hi Gerald, Just gave it a go - unfortunately same issue. Thanks James James W

It appears, that specific checklist wasn't included in the default package (as the plane wasn't supported). Make sure a file named "PMDG_DC6_Check.txt" is present in \Multi Crew Experience\Chklists\ folder. When missing or damaged, you would typically end-up with Checklist feature disabled. Will make sure the file ships with next update so you won't have to remember to add yours in case you perform a clean install. . Gerald R https://www.multicrewxp.com
