June 1, 20224 yr Reverb G2 experimenting with OpenXR toolkit. While changing things in the toolkit menu I did something to cause the VR image to appear as if looking thru a telescope or created a big black border with only a oval image in the middle half. June 2, 20224 yr Maybe the FOV (field of view) setting, but doesn't look like it? Possibly the foveated rendering mask? I think you can reset the toolkit by running the companion app to set safe mode, then running the toolkit again and pressing a combination of function keys. I haven't used it in a while so procedure might have changed in later versions. Edited June 2, 20224 yr by dogmanbird
June 2, 20224 yr Author You are correct with "Possibly the foveated rendering mask?" If I set it to Preset or Custom I get the telescope effect. The effect varies depending on which preset or custom value I use. I use an RTX 3060Ti graphics card and thought that was a good enough card AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D / MSI X870 Tomahawk Mobo / 64 GB DDR5 memory / RTX 4070 Super with 12 GB VRAM / AORUS FO48U 4k display NVMe for Drive C, an NVMe device dedicated to Flight Sim 2024 and a separate NVMe device for Flight Sim 2020 and an NVMe dedicated to 500GB of addons managed by AddonsLinker / 1 GB Comcast Xfinity Internet connection / HP Reverb G2 / Tobii 5 Head & Eye Tracking
June 3, 20224 yr I think it should work regardless of the card. Is it the very latest version of the toolkit you're using? You could try an earlier release. Just reading the discord it seems one game has one issue and another a different issue etc. It doesn't seem to be progressing at the rate it was in the early days.
June 6, 20224 yr Author PROBLEM SOLVED! I had turned OFF Post Processing in the user.cfg file (MSFS). After turning Post Processing back to ON I have had no tunnel vision.
