Being not as complex as pay ware I (naively) thought default aircraft would have higher FPS?   I fly in Vr  and default F18  get around 35.  but in Just Flight piper Arrow same flight get a  solid 45.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. Couldn't tell you why, though. To be honest, at this point, I've just turned off the FPS counter unless I'm doing performance testing. Admittedly, it is weird that the absolutely smoothest plane in the hangar (for me) is the B787 (Heavy Mod). But, hey, if you can get better performance with an addon plane, all the better!
