AIR CANADA Two Zero One  good morning .  Radar Contact.

AIR CANADA Two Zero One Expect the STAVE Eight  arrival  for the  ILS  approach to runway Two Six Left at VANCOUVER  International . 

AIR CANADA Two Zero One Descend to cross BOOTH at Flight Level One Eight Zero then  Descend via the STAVE Eight  arrival  to Flight Level Three Eight Zero.

 

I keep getting descent directions that are my cruise altitude. I was at FL380 and ATC says descend to cross booth at FL180, but then says "to FL380". Did i misconfigure something?

 

Descent was STAVE8 via BOOTH to CYVR/26L
