Aviaserver not closing on MSFS shutdown

Featured Replies

Hi Mark, I'm not sure if this is how it's supposed to be but after I close MSFS Avia server is still left running in the system tray. It doesn't appear to be causing any problems other than the "FlyByWire Installer" thinks MSFS is still running and won't let me update the aircraft until I close it. I didn't understand the problem at first as there were no MSFS processes running, but as soon as I closed Aviaserver the option to update appeared.

Is there a setting I can change that will force Aviaserver to close with MSFS?

I run both Aviaserver and MSFS in admin mode on Win10x64

Hi Brian,

no, aviaServer is not supposed to close automatically. It will automatically reconnect to MSFS or P3D once a sim is started. This makes using aviaServer essier.

Why that installer is having problems, is beyond me. Perhaps a bug in the installer or SimConnect - but not related to aviaServer directly.

I sort of thought that might be the case, I'll check in with the FBW team and let them know.

thanks anyway. 👍
