July 14, 20223 yr I like the panel but have no idea how to change gauges in the panel.cfg to pop up as I am totally new to this, I tried but can't get it to pop up. I want to place them on different monitors. Gauges is PFD, MFD, EICAS, GPS, RADIOS. //-------------------------------------------------------------------------- // Panel Configuration file // Boeing 737-800 [Window Titles] window00=Main Panel July 14, 20223 yr You can just press shift and a number and each one will appear, from Shift and 1 to Shift and 9. You must then undock them so that you can place them wherever you want. To do that, right click on the window and select Undock window. Also there is a drop-down menu that can be used to do the same thing, highlighted in yellow in my image. That must be used to open the 10th window or higher. If you add type=special, the docked window will stay open when changing the view. Generally speaking, the more FSX undocked windows that you have open, the worse the FSX performance will be.
July 15, 20223 yr Author Thanks for the prompt replay. But if you look at the panel, cfg file which I send in 1st post the following gauges in 2d view can't pop up. PFD, MFD, EICAS. I want them to popup if clicked.
July 15, 20223 yr Administrators Exactly what 737-800 panel are you using? It doesn't look like the default 737-800. That panel has special click spots built in to the screens and or screen bezels that give it the ability to pop out when clicked on. July 16, 20223 yr Author According to the creator this panel can be used on any B737. So I add this panel to the default B737. The default B737 (default) panel 2D view of the main panel you can click on the PFD, MFD, EICAS and it will popup. Which allow then to undock the gauge and save on another screens. I have a 4 screen setup. 1 for main flying view no panel on this screen 1 for GPS the other 2 for PFD, MFD, EICAS and Radio. I build my own MCP with Ardiuno and Mobiflight. Love to use this panel but can't figure out how to make the gauges to popup.
July 16, 20223 yr if you go back to the default panel, you will see how they make the gauges pop up. Each one has its own window. If you go back to the image I sent you, you can see what you want in the drop-down menu, I think. Now that you have explained, it seems that you had a VC that worked as you wanted it to but you have replaced it with one that does not. Might the best solution be to return to the default?
July 16, 20223 yr Author Thank you Reader One thing I picked up in the panel.cfg file posted is that I can't find a PFD gauge to make a new window entry. Maybe I must look within the panel CAB file for the gauge name.
July 16, 20223 yr Do you want a copy of the default file, which has everything you need? To include, in Window 6, the correct syntax for the PFD. You could even copy and paste the relevant parts into your addon version. Edited July 16, 20223 yr by Reader
July 16, 20223 yr Author Thank you, received it. Is this the default 737 panel as distributed by FSX install cd's as I do have that I would love to have more realistic gauges. Edited July 16, 20223 yr by kotzejohan Additional text
