X Box version

Recommended Posts

A couple of times I have thought about getting an X Box. That way my grand kids would have something to play when they stay over too. I was wondering if I have the Steam MSFS whether it would play on the XBox or would I have to purchase another version specific to that platform? Also which model of the XBox would I need to buy from an MSFS point of view?

I believe you would have to purchase the Microsoft store version. Steam is not associated with Microsoft/Xbox at all.

Unfortunate I don't think you can use the steam version on a XBOX. Just get the gamepass way cheaper and they can play MSFS  and other games with it also. X version of X-Box for higher resolution. S version for 1024.

Xbox series X and series S (Xbox|S and Xbox|X) can run the normal XBOX versions. The Xone and and so forth cannot.

Except if running from the cloud by subscription (which works on an iPhone too), almost any phone or pad can run that.

The |X will run at higher resolution (1440) vs. the |S will run at 2K. For simpler games the |X will display 4K, but not MSFS. The |S is only 2K on  everything.

The Xbox version of MSFS is more trouble free than the PC versions. The controller by itself can fly it pretty well.

We paid $250 for a series |S.
