July 28, 20223 yr Hi, has anyone tried something like this with the new multi-monitor support beta 10? I did not opt in so cannot test. Just came across it and it got me thinking if at least in theory, this means we can have a 3 monitor display within an ultra wide monitor without the bezels. Wouldn't it be a game changer? It would cost a fraction of buying 3 monitors yet potentially yield equivalent if not better results? Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself with this. There is a generous 30 day pro version trial they offer. If someone tries, please let me know. Thanks. https://www.displayfusion.com/
July 28, 20223 yr If your aim is to have a larger screen, you don't need to have multiple monitors. For the past fifteen years now I "simmed" with one projector on a large screen that gives me the dimension of the real life cockpit. My present 4K projector is suspended to the ceiling behind me, but you have many other combinations such as short throw projectors. Before I bought my new 4K, I had to pull curtains to make the room dark, not anymore with the powerful new projector. Chances are that this will cost less, will be much easier to setup than several screens that will always have the disadvantage of having bezels all over your vision field. July 28, 20223 yr Author Yes, my aim is to have a larger screen and to fit a wider view. I use a 43" 4K monitor which I like a lot as its generous on vertical view too. Problem is you only see directly in front of you. Having one ultra wide with 3 separate screens within it would make it all a bit smaller in terms of size but capture a wider view. Since I cannot try it, was wondering if anyone else has.
