You should also check simconnect.xml in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3dv5

When I first ran those .msi, it prompted me to run as administrater but when I did them again just to check again, it did not prompt me to run as administrators and there is no option to. the activesky version is 8080.

I think you're probably okay if the installers ran. Your account probably has the relevant permissions.

ASP3D build 8080 is current.

I suggest you open ASP3D and choose Help on the left. It takes you through the whole install procedure including configuring for SimConnect.

Imgur is used by many here. No reason it won't for you.

If you're still stuck please raise a ticket with Hi-Fi.

I dont have simconnect.xml in the folder you mentioned.

do you have any idea how to add this on to the folder?

It only gets installed when a particular program needs it. So look at AS Help because it should be that program that installs it.

In anycase, I found the root cause so I just need to find this simconnect.xml file. I searched AS help document and there is no mention of where it gets installed.

AS help are based in the US. Mon-Fri support only.

It gets installed to the location I gave you. If you don’t have that file read the Help section in ASP3D where everything is explained in great detail. You’ve probably missed something because this is a mature product that thousands use.

ive just looked that everything that the help document says. I have tried a few sugestions such as saving the scenario and running it again. However non of these work. I guess I have to rely on the Hifi support system.

Not sure if you tried this, go to this folder "Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons", there will be a folder "ActiveSkyP5", delete that folder. Open ActiveSky and it will ask you to install the connector. Try opening P3D after that.
