August 27, 20223 yr Last Feb 2022 my PC and Sim went into storage as we moved house. Six months later our new apartment was finished and I set up my PC and P3D simulator. I now have a distorted view as the Zoom has somehow gone to a value of 1.27 wheras prior to Feb and for years I had a zoom of 0.30 I have three monitors.to I had P3D rebuild Camers.cfg and Perpar3d.cfg. The Virtual Camera in the cfg. had the desired zoom at 0.30, all good. I could not find any line in the Prepar3d.cfg relating to zoom. The Top RH corner of my monitor says 1.27 Zoom, where does ths 1.27 come from and how do I change it to 0.30? Help Thanks Ken

August 27, 20223 yr Hi Ken, You did'nt say exactly which view but I assume the cockpit view. You can reset the default zoom setting by changing the zoom setting in a file named Prepar3D_Default.fxml It can be found here: C:\Users\**YOUR USERNAME***\AppData\Local\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D vx\Prepar3D_Default.fxml Open with Notepad look for <Property Name="Title" Value="Virtual Cockpit" /> In the same section look for the line <Property Name="Zoom" Value="0.3" /> 0.3 is the default zoom setting for the VC. August 27, 20223 yr Author Mark, thanks, I found the file and it was the virtual cockpit here is what I found <Property Name="Zoom Value"= "0.299999999999889" /> This is essenttially 0.3 it is also 0.3 in my Cameras.cfg file but produces Zoom 1.27 when I srtart P3D The search for a solution continues Regards Ken
August 28, 20223 yr Ken, OK. Another thought - are you using View Groups with your multiple monitor set up? You mentioned you have 3 monitors connected. August 29, 20223 yr Author Problem solved, none of the above advice worked. I could never Zoom below 1.27 and yet all cfg. files said Zoom 0.3 By accident I found the New View with the "[" key was not distorted Stretched that across three monitors all ok but fps only 8 instead of my usual 40+ Problem was the old distorted view was still running in behind the new view. Deleted the old view and fps now 40+ All changes were made inside "Views" once P3D was running. thanks for all the advice. Cheers
