sound issues on approach

Featured Replies

anyone has issues with their sounds on approach? when i'm descending the ambient external sounds seem to fade and become very muffled and tinny, and the cockpit aural warnings and sound fx are disabled, RA callouts are muted etc. I start to notice this as I get closer to 10k feet, then it gets even wrose when i'm on final. I'm new to P3D so the only aircraft I have so far is the PMDG 777, i don't know if it's a PMDG issue or a P3D issue or maybe even an addon issue. Does anyone have a similar experience and has a fix for it? or do I just need to reinstall the whole sim?

You might try going into the FMS, under Menu -> PMDG Options -> Sounds and select the actual sound device in use rather than the default device.

Also, make sure that in the Windows Sound Communications tab that "do nothing" is selected.
