Those Wideroe flights can be pretty spectacular, been a passenger a few times. Diversions due to weather is not uncommon. I think one of my most memorable fair weather flights was from ENBO Bodo to ENSK Stokmarknes. The latter is in Vesteralen (near Lofoten) with some of the best natural landscapes that Norway has to offer. The flight was truly amazing - clear skies, calm winds, amazing scenery. And - as I mentioned my road trip in NZ, that was actually around the time The Two Towers was in the cinemas. I pre-booked a ticket for my girlfriend and I before the trip and we saw it in Christchurch the day we arrived. The next day we drove to Mount Cook national park.
