FSUIPC 7.3.8 not connecting to P2A (FIXED)

Featured Replies

I just updated to FSUIPC 7.3.8 and when I tried to connect to P2A - I clicked Connect and got a beep. So I clicked Connect again and got the message "FSUIPC disconnected". Each subsequent click got the same message. I'm not looking at the error now so the message might have been slightly different, but the essence remains. I can't connect P2A to MSFS....

Am I the only one getting this problem? I have used FSUIPC for years now. I see the Dowson's are on vacation so there is no fix from them this week. Does anyone have a link to 7.3.7?

The Connect button toggles connection to the SIM, so on a second click, you get the message "Disconnected from SIM".  The next click will attempt to connect again, and the one after that will disconnect and display the message.

If you're sure FSUIPC is installed correctly, here are some other things to check:

  •     Be sure the SIM is fully up and running and not paused before you try to connect.  The cockpit must be showing.
  •     Be sure you are connected to the internet. It must be a reliable connection.
  •     English-US Language installed and set as Primary Language, English Speech Recognition installed also.
  •     Working Microphone installed and set as Default Sound Input device in Windows
  •     Valid Call Sign – Try using the default call sign of Mfg: Beech; Tail Number: N431VB.  Press the Save button.
  •     Try running the program in Administrator mode by right clicking on the Pilot2ATC.exe file and selecting “Run as Administrator”
  •     If it seems to partially connect but the Connect button does not turn Green, set the Weather option to a different source such as NOAA Real Time Weather and try again.
  •     If still won't fully connect, try deleting the AppConfig.xml file.  You will lose your Config settings, but some users have reported that this fixed their connection issue.  The file is located at:         c:\users\UserName>\AppData\Roaming\P2A_200\Settings\AppConfig.xml        where <UserName> is your PC user name.  Portions of the path may be hidden by default, so be sure Windows Explorer has Show Hidden Items checked in the View tab.
  •     If connecting to MSFS, one user reported that setting FSUIPC WASM to Enabled fixed it for them.

Dave, In this case, setting P2A to Run as Administrator seems to have done the trick. It connected! Don't know why this newest version 7.3.8 is different, but all I care is that I can fly with P2A!

Thanks for your quick and thorough response!!!!!
