October 8, 20223 yr I installed the latest update for Prepar3D and in the process somehow managed to loose absolutely all of my scenery files and their backups. So I have found my favourite one (Napier, as in the title) and downloaded it but the "ReadMe" file says that it needs Vector Land Class New Zealand and certain Static Object Libraries to work. Someone gave me a link to the VLCNZ.zip but when I tried to install it there was a message saying that it was unable to proceed because it couldn't find the installation Path of P3Dv2/3 in the registry. It's been a few years since we left version 3 behind so if I may ask the forum a couple of questions:- Can you point me to a version of the Napier scenery that can be installed in P3Dv5.3? Failing that, can I roll back my P3Dv5.3 to P3Dv3, install the scenery, then reverse the procedure back to v5.3? OR Does anyone know how to enter a dummy installation path in the registry to trick the addon in to thinking that it's "home" and complete the installation? The easiest way would be to add the P3Dv3 install path registry key, pointing to the v5 root folder--I can't recall the exact key name, but a little Google-Fu should turn it up. The brute-force method would be to just install P3Dv3 temporarily. There's no need to roll back from P3Dv5 to v3--they can coexist on the same PC just fine. That'll put the registry entry (and P3D executable--some installers look for that as well) where it needs to be for you. You can install it and then move it over to your v5 folder.
